  • How to do it?

Proceed below to check out the DIY tips you need to follow while rebinding your Bible.

    1

    Step 1

The first step is to take off the old Bible cover from the block, with the help of the craft knife connect the cover and book spine by cutting through the paper. Remove every slice that is attached to the spine and use the rasp to shave the remaining bits of materials.

    2

    Step 2

The next step is to make use of the front and back book covers, trace and cut them for the efficient usage. Take the binder’s board and place the book block face which is naked on those board and then trace the front and back cover by adding the quarter inch of them to the top and bottom book block height. With the help of the ruler, you need to cut those two rectangles for the accurateness.

    3

    Step 3

Calculate and slash off the book spine and then on the binder’s board draw a rectangle as per the height and width of the newly cut bible cover and Bible spine respectively. Make sure you cut off the front and back longer edges of the Bible cover and then with the help of the rule cut down the rectangle for the accuracy.

    4

    Step 4

Now, cover the spine and Bible cover with canvas, line up the spine, back cover, front cover side by side with an inch gap of ¼ on a single sheet of canvas. You can make a template by tracing the single rectangle and then add an inch gap to the entire layout height and width so that you can cut the complete template on the canvas. Make use of the jade glue to stick up the front bible cover and then press to the canvas appropriately.

    5

    Step 5

Repeat the same process for back Bible cover and the spine of the Bible. You can quickly remove the air bubbles by using heavy objects and allow them to dry for some period. Now you need to stick the resting 1-inch canvas edges and fold them within the Bible at a single time with glue, similarly get rid of the air bubbles by placing any heavy object and allow them to dry for a particular period.

    6

    Step 6

Attache the block of the Bible to the new cover and then apply glue over the spine of the Bible and adhere them. Also, stick the Bible’s end page and press evenly for the right results. Repeat the same steps for the opposite cover; you can remove the air bubbles by pushing them consistently after keeping a heavy object over them.
